How are Happy Bones made?

Slowly simmered in our UK kitchen using only organic and high welfare ingredients, we fortify our broth with native kelp, nettle, parsley, apple cider vinegar and naturally cold processed sea algae for added antioxidants.

Packaging

Happy Bones are packed in multiples of 5 trays per order.

Each tray contains 12 x 20g (20ml) bones. So that's 60 bones in total.

Individual tray size is 26cm x 15cm x 3cm.

All our product packaging is suitable for domestic recycling, including our paper sleeves, plastic tray and film lid.

Even our delivery packaging is recyclable! From our recycled plastic delivery bags to our WoolCool insulated lining, which is domestically compostable.

We dispatch all orders received before 12pm Monday to Friday on a next day service.

Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be dispatched on the following Monday for delivery on Tuesday. Deliveries to Highlands and Islands will take two days.

Packaging issue

Dog loves the product, but they are not easy to remove as the plastic sleeve won't come off, so I have to individually slice the plastic around each frozen bone.

Hey Roz, thanks for the review. Glad your dog loves them! We have recently sourced a peelabe film that is made from recyclable materials and this stock will be filtering in to orders now :) In the meantime, to get a portion out easily with the non-peelable film, run a knife or scissors down the length of the portion to cut the film and you'll then be able to push the portion out just like an ice cube from a tray. Hope this helps!

Salmon bones

My dog Brandy really enjoys these Salmon bones, at the moment letting it melt, she licks the bowl clean, no side effects. Great product, glad I found them.

The dogs' equivalent of an apple a day

I raw feed my 3 dogs and have done now for about 4 years. They love it and I enjoy seeing them enjoy it. I discovered axels elixir by chance but so glad I found it. The dogs love the flavours and its so easy and convenient to do. Compared to some bone broths it doesn't smell at all. I like the flexibility of giving it to them with their food or on a hot day giving it to them as it is.

Love knowing that it's all round a great thing to be giving them.

Only slight criticism I have is that when I receive an order usually at least one pack has leaked.
