How many Happy Bones should I feed my dog?

Simply match your doggo’s approximate weight to the recommended daily maximum.

Are Happy Bones good for my dog?

They are packed full of good stuff for your dog! Collagen, chondroitin & hyaluronic acids are great for joint health, skin allergies, coat health and digestion. The Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids from our sea algae extract are great for brain health and cognitive function. Vitamins, minerals & antioxidants will boost general wellbeing and assist illness recovery.

My Happy Bones are defrosted. Can I refreeze them?

Yes, absolutely. Happy Bones are cooked and sealed. Provided they are still cool to the touch once they have arrived, then they can be popped into the freezer and refrozen. Place the packs flat with the film lid up to maintain the shape of the product.

Are your products organic?

All our dry ingredients – parsley, nettle, and kelp – are organic. As is our apple cider vinegar with mother. Our proteins are either organic or high welfare. The quality of our ingredients was our highest priority when setting up Axel’s Elixir. We made the products for Axel and wanted to give him the very best.

Are your products made from UK ingredients?

Absolutely! We work very hard to source and build strong relationships with our UK farms and suppliers. In fact, over 60% of our ingredients are sourced within a two-hour drive of our kitchens!

Is your packaging recyclable?

Yes! When we started Axel’s Elixir we wanted to ensure that sustainability was one of our core values. No “green washing” here! All our product packaging is suitable for domestic recycling including our paper sleeves, plastic tray and film lid. Even our delivery packaging is recyclable from our recycled plastic delivery bags to our WoolCool insulated lining, which is domestically compostable.

Can I set up a subscription?

You sure can! Simply select the product you’d like delivered, select “Subscribe and Save” and your delivery frequency. You’ll save 5% and never run out of Happy Bones again!

How much is delivery?

We charge £5.95 for next day delivery on all orders, and this is added to your total at the checkout.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

Due to the fresh frozen nature of our Happy Bones product, we need to ensure delivery within 48 hours. So, for now at least, we’re only available in the UK.

Where do you deliver?

We ship anywhere in the UK, including the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

Can I track my delivery?

Absolutely! You will receive delivery confirmation and a tracking number from our courier via email and text (provided you left a mobile number when ordering).

Which courier do you use?

After a long (and arduous!) trial period, we selected DHL as our delivery partner. They are friendly, reliable and offer a great tracking service with a 1hr delivery window. Plus, we love our area rep Carrie-Ann and her Frenchie, Spike!

Which days do you deliver?

We dispatch all orders received before 12pm Monday to Thursday on a next day service. We don’t dispatch on a Friday as Happy Bones are frozen and need to be delivered within 48hrs. Orders placed Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be dispatched Monday for Tuesday delivery. Deliveries to Highlands and Islands will take two days.

Can I choose my delivery day?

Yes! Simply pop a request in the comments box when ordering or send us an email with you order number and preferred delivery day to hello@axelselixir.com
